3D Modelling Symposium Berlin 2008


From 7th - 9th April 2008 the Universität der Künste Berlin (University of Arts Berlin) will be holding the first 3D Modelling Symposium for architects, industrial designers and engineers in co-operation with Visual-Dream. This 3-day event for professionals as well as students of the above-mentioned disciplines will take place in the premises of the UdK Berlin and include three modules: Lectures, Case Studies und Master Classes. Top-class national and international experts will demonstrate solutions for contemporary architecture and construction demands, as well as modern design via 3D-modelling.

Torino is the first World Design Capital


The nomination of the City of Torino as the first World Design Capital is welcomed as an important opportunity to design new ways to develop the territory. On September 30, 2005, ICSID (International Council of Societies of Industrial Design) officially named the city of Torino the first World Design Capital in recognition of the crucial role Torino and Piemonte play on an international level. The area is characterized by numerous excellences in the field of design. Today, it is involved in a planning process to renew Torino’s image from an industrial city to a European city, in which development is based on a combination of innovation and creativity, starting with a solid tradition of entrepreneurship and planning. In accepting this challenge, the city of Torino is proud to be a “beta-tester” of the World Design Capital project, which is promoted by the International Design Alliance (IDA) and conducted by ICSID. This unprecedented title is thus welcomed as an important opportunity to design new ways to develop the territory. For further information click here

In America si può trovare di tutto! di auto così se ne vedono poche in giro, ma se volete vederne di tutti i colori ricordate che ogni anno si svolge a Houston (U.S.A.) il raduno di "art-car" dove i concorretni si presentano con auto dalle cartrozzerie più fantasiosi. Tra i premi assegnati, quelli per l'auto meglio dipinta, per la migliore battuta a sfondo politico, per quella con le migliori prestazioni. Dal 2003 partecipano alla sfilata anche i veicoli acquatici o, come recitava l'invito, "tutto ciò che galleggia". Articolo estratto dal giornale online Focus.it

Motore di ricerca ecologico?


Sarebbe interessante se ogni uno di noi iniziassi pian pianino a risparmiare energia, nel nostro caso, che siamo davanti ad un computer per molte ore al giorno, possiamo dare anche il nostro piccolo contributo ma se fossimo in tanti diventerebbe pure grande, quindi Vi consiglio questo nuovo motore di ricerca, si chiama Blackle della azienda Heap Media, il contenuto comunque è sempre di Google. In giro si dice che fa risparmiare tantissima energia perché il computer lavora di meno, sinceramente non so se è vero, magari è l'ennesima trovata pubblicitaria, ma finché qualcuno non dica lo contrario mi sembra logico, cioè se non c’è colore e lo schermo è nero credo che possa risparmiare, voi che ne ditte? :-)

Carnevale Bolzano 2008



Grande evento promosso dalla Città di Bolzano per il carnevale 2008, persone di ogni età si sono dati appuntamento lungo via Torino e via Milano per partecipare a una giornata all'insegna del divertimento e la famiglia! nulla è stato lasciato al caso, perfino il Sindaco di Bolzano ha partecipato in maschera (vestito da siux) tra le bande e i carri. Una giornata piena di gioia per grandi e piccoli, ne anche le forze dell'ordine si sono salvate dalla gioia dei bambini :-)
